LARP/LRP HeroFest Rules - Monster Skills
Certain special monsters have additional skills over and above normal striking damage with weapons or claws, the following effects may be encountered
This is not an Lightning Magic Spell. The person pointed at receives a wound to the chest. Before they fall over, they MUST point at another player, who then also receives a wound to the chest. Before the 2nd person falls over, they then MUST point at a 3rd player who also receives a wound to the chest (as the lighting arcs from the first person to the 2nd to the 3rd). This has a range of about 20' for each arc.
If the monster shouts 'paralysis' when they strike you, in addition to being injured on the location that you were struck you must remain totally stationary for 60 seconds (once the 60 seconds are over no further ill effects are suffered – other than the wound)
If the monster shouts 'fear' when they strike you, in addition to being injured on the location that you were struck you must flee the sight of the monster for 60 seconds (once the 60 seconds are over no further ill effects are suffered – other than the wound)
If the monster shouts 'Mortal' when they strike you, then you must consider yourself mortally wounded (see Mortal wounds in Healing Rules ») if you do not receive water from the spring of healing in 15 minutes you will die.
If the monster strikes your weapon, and shouts 'disarm', you must drop your weapon to the floor. Once your weapon has hit the floor, you may attempt to pick it up again.
If the monster strikes you with a weapon, or points at you, and shouts 'Death', then you are killed instantly. You may be resurrected by your Faction following this type of Death.
Mass [ name of another effect ]
Should a monster spread its arms and shout 'Mass [ name of another effect ]', then all players within the arc of its arms are affected by this effect, to a range of about 20 feet.
